David joined UAS as Vice President in the fall of 2004. His responsibilities are focused on client and market development. Personally committed to determining specific client needs, he has spent nearly ten years in financial services.
David was formerly at Morgan Stanley where he was based in Manhattan as a Financial Advisor in its Individual Investor Group. His experience there focused on financial planning and the brokerage of both equity and fixed income investments. Previously he was for many years in the management of several global retailers of luxury products, including Cartier, Tiffany and H. Stern.
Having degrees from both Harvard College and its Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, David also holds a graduate degree from Yale University, where he taught music theory. Additional studies were at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, and in summer programs in Germany, France and Aspen, Colorado. He serves on the boards of several cultural institutions, having been an Overseer of the New England Conservatory of Music.
David and his wife, formerly a human resources executive and now a writer, make their home in Kinderhook, NY, having recently relocated with their daughter to its Historic District. His many interests include music, local history, genealogy, gardening and the collecting of just about anything, especially if it's old. He has conducted a number of musical organizations and played the piano for many years.
